Scuba Diving Cruise

Not a Scuba Diving Cruise Fan? No Problem!

Even if you don’t scuba dive, LiveAboard still has plenty of cruise options through absolutely beautiful waters without any diving. You can go snorkeling, explore nearby towns, take a river cruise, or even a yoga cruise. I did a yacht charter with them in Croatia without diving, and it was a blast (see more here)!

If you just love being out on the water and don’t like the big cruises with tons of people, LiveAboard is the option for you.

The Cruise Experience

On my cruise trip with Katarina Lines (booked through LiveAboard), we had well-appointed rooms, luxury food, and a great crew! Because it was a deluxe line, we had nicer rooms with windows that opened instead of a little porthole.

We learned about the history of Croatia, enjoyed an olive oil tasting, swam in quiet little coves, and explored different Croatian islands. It was absolutely incredible!

A typical LiveAboard diving trip includes:

    • Comfortable onboard accommodations
    • Meals prepared by experienced chefs
    • Professional diving (or snorkeling) equipment
    • Guided excursions to scenic locations

Featured Destinations

With over 30 destinations and 32,000 different trips to book with LiveAboard, I simply can’t cover all of them here. I already told you above about the trip I took with them to Croatia, so here are some other destinations on my “to go” list.

Maldives - Scuba Diving Cruise

Who doesn’t dream of a trip to the Maldives, staying at one of those cute bungalows over the water? Well, with LiveAboard, you can stay on the water and have an even more exclusive experience than with the bungalows!

With 44 different cruise options available, you can take the vacation of a lifetime, whether you’re a diver, snorkeler, or just like to hang out on the sun deck.

Thailand - Scuba Diving Cruise

Thailand has some of the best dive spots in the world. LiveAboard offers 30 different diving cruise options in Thailand, with two options for beginner divers with little to no logged dives. The Mandarin Queen 9 is one of the best LiveAboard boats, with a full 10/10 rating! Explore some of the Andaman Sea’s most iconic dive sites, as well as several different islands in the area.

Mexico - Scuba Diving Cruise

I love love love traveling to Mexico! It’s one of my favorite destinations in the world. There are 10 liveaboard experiences available to book, traveling to the islands of Socorro, the Sea Of Cortez, or Guadalupe. You can see sharks, Humpback whales, dolphins, and of course, big, beautiful manta rays! This is one of the best diving locations for manta rays.

Galapagos - Scuba Diving Cruise

The Galapagos islands are known for their biodiversity; the Galapagos Marine Reserve is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Darwin and Wolf islands are very popular diving sites and are only accessible by liveaboard. Choose from 10 options with no more than 16 guests each and explore the paradise of Galapagos like it’s your own private oasis.

Great Barrier Reef - Scuba Diving Cruise

Ever thought about traveling Australia by cruise? Australia is definitely renowned for its diving and snorkeling locations, especially along the Great Barrier Reef. With 8 liveaboards to choose from, you can explore the outer reef, which is less crowded than the inner reef where most day tours will take you.

Or head to Western Australia and check out lesser-known spots like Mermaid and Clerke Reefs in the Rowley Shoals.

Belize - Scuba Diving Trip

There are only 2 liveaboard options in Belize right now, but both of them are highly rated at 9.2 out of 10. Belize may be one of the smallest countries in Central America, but it has one of the largest barrier reefs in the world (2nd only to Australia).

See the famous Blue Hole, a giant blue submarine sinkhole, explore miles of the reef, and swim with whale sharks! The best part is, you can cruise and dive here year-round.

Getting to Your Destination

Once you arrive to your destination and embark on your cruise ship, most everything you need is included and taken care of for you. But what about getting there? Look for the best flight prices and options with one of my favorite tools, Daily Drop Pro! They allow you to search and set up alerts for deals based on your travel goals. You can even search by point deals for multiple airline programs.

After booking your flights, I recommend getting Priority Pass to upgrade your travel experience from airport to airport. Enjoy all the perks of premium airport lounges whether you have a first-class plane ticket or not! You’ll never want to travel without it again.
