Here are the Top 7 Things to do while visiting Ambergris Caye.

It’s the largest island in Belize and a very popular spot for travelers! It’s no wonder with its gorgeous blue waters, scuba diving, snorkeling, beautiful beaches, and the coral barrier reef. Keep watching to find out the top 7 things to do in Ambergris Caye.

1. Stay in a fantastic hotel or resort.

Stay on the South end of the Island near San Pedro in one of the fantastic resorts or hotels. I personally recommend staying at Ramon’s Village Resort in San Pedro.

2. Go Diving at Ramon’s Diver’s Village

This island is known for its activities and water sports, so take advantage by going diving with Ramon’s. They set you up with everything you need so that you can have an enjoyable experience, even if it’s your first time diving!

3. Snorkel Hol Chan & Shark Ray Alley

Some experienced snorkelers say that Belize has the best in the whole world, so definitely take advantage while you are here. I couldn’t believe how clear the water was. From the boat, you could see all the way down to the floor below, crystal clear. It’s even better underwater!

4. Try the Local Cuisine

There’s really no need for fine dining at Ambergris Caye. The local cuisine is SO worth trying! One of my favorite meals was the lobster coconut curry at El Fogon.

5. Eat Belizean Chocolate

The Belize Chocolate Company has a huge assortment of desserts made right here in Belize. I tried the Jalapeno Chili chocolate bar made with 70% Cacao bean produced in Southern Belize.

6. Rent a Golf Cart

It really is the best way to see the island. Pro Tip: Rent your golf cart in town instead of at your hotel. The prices are much cheaper in San Pedro on the street.

7. Go North

You have to check out Secret Beach and Blue Bayou. If you’d like to skip the crowds and see the same gorgeous water, go straight to Blue Bayou.

Those are my recommendations for an amazing stay in Ambergris Caye. I hope you find it helpful! I’ll see you on the next adventure 🙂
