I’m kim the abundant traveler and welcome back to the channel today I am in Boulder and I am telling you the top 10 things that you need to do when you come visit this amazing city if you’re new here put out laid-back luxury travel videos inspiring you to buy that plane ticket go hiking go biking go see the world make sure to subscribe that’s the red button below give this video a thumbs up and bring that notification bell I have spent the past five days playing in and around Boulder and I have had a great time and this is my top 10 list for the things that you have to do while you’re here now it took me five days to do all of these you can cram them into about three days but I try and stay as long as you can because Boulder is absolutely fantastic number one you have to hike the flatirons it’s only about four miles to do the flatirons loop and it’s those iconic three mountains that you can see that actually look like ironing boards that is a definite definite morning thing to do it gets awfully hot in summer so i’d suggest you do it in the morning number two you have to visit pearl street pearl street is where so many delicious restaurants are and lots and lots of shopping whether you’re looking for crystals or unique jewelry if you’re looking for name brands like prana or helly hansen you can find those there as well number three I definitely recommend that you go to some of the rooftop bars in Boulder in and around downtown one that I recommend is a tapas bar called corrida another one that I recommend is called rosetta hall and that’s quite spectacular because it’s different food venues and two bars so you can eat downstairs inside or go up to the rooftop bar and hang out on one of the day beds or one of the lounge chairs I also recommend going to avantI as well avonte’s food is also a food haul and it’s a little more casual and very inexpensive I heard that the pizzas there are delicious but I’m gluten free so I didn’t have one a short drive and a lot of fun is going up flagstaff road at the top you will be rewarded with the sunrise amphitheater this is a beautiful amphitheater overlooking the university of Colorado and downtown Boulder along the way you will see stunning vistas and you can stop at the flagstaff restaurant grab a glass of wine and watch the world go by while you’re in Boulder you have to go check out the university of Colorado at Boulder Boulder is known for being a university town and a very educated town it actually has more used book stores per capita than any other city in the country these beautiful red sandstone buildings with terracotta roofs are spectacular it’s one of the most unique universities i’ve ever seen that red sandstone was quarried just up the road in lyons on the way to estes park so while you’re here in Boulder it is such a food town I definitely think that you should become a foodie at least while you’re here there are some amazing restaurants here like jacks where you can get fresh oysters and seafood or the kitchen where I had the best gluten-free reuben I have ever had in my whole life there’s also cured which is a coffee shop on one side and then you can order a picnic or get a sandwich for one of your hikes in the afternoon if you’re really into food you can try frasca’s which is one of the most well-known restaurants in the entire country also while you’re here if you’re getting into food you might as well get into wine as well and if you need a little bit of wine while you’re hiking or if you want a bottle of wine in your room then I recommend that you go to the Boulder wine merchant they have a spectacular selection very educated staff and it’s well known throughout Boulder that that’s the place you gotta go to get your wine while we’re talking about food there’s one place that needs its own mention and that is the Boulder tea house right along Boulder creek Boulder’s sister city is duchenne bay tajikistan I have trouble saying all of that and this is a tea house with traditional foods and it is really really yummy you can get golden milk you can buy their teas you can go and have lunch or dinner there if you’d like now I have a little tip for you if you cannot get in or there’s a wait list for an actual table you can walk up to the bar order get a number go sit outside in the gardens and enjoy your lunch out there it is a fantastic experience and a really really beautiful building if you are interested in the perfect three-day itinerary for Boulder go to the description below and click the free guide I have a perfect three-day itinerary for everything that you should do while you’re in town if you’re here for a long weekend the last two items are actually not in Boulder but they’re great things to do while you’re in the area one is to go see estes park it’s about an hour drive and it is a great little mountain town where you can go to the stanley go shopping hang out and it’s also the gateway to the last one which is rocky mountain national park rocky mountain national park is the third or fourth most visited national park in the country and it is absolutely spectacular I have several videos on rocky mountain national park and estes park as well so make sure to check those out I have a couple of honorable mentions one is the breweries I’m not a beer drinker and I’m gluten free so beer drinking is awfully hard so I have to give it an honorable mention but if you’re a beer drinker this is the mecca to come and drink craft beer the last little thing which is very sweet it’ll only take you about 10 minutes is going to the leaning tree museum it is a western art museum except unfortunately the museum is closed because all of the art has been sold off however there is a greeting card factory there and they have hundreds and hundreds of greeting cards and it was actually a lot of fun to go buy a bunch of birthday cards there so will it take you more than 15 minutes no is it worth going sure why not so I hope that when you come to Boulder you will do all of these items and please leave a comment below of your favorite things to do while you’re in Boulder I have so enjoyed my trip I am coming back definitely as quickly as I possibly can so I am kim the abundant traveler and I will see you in Boulder again very very soon Boulder I’m coming back I’m coming for you take care bye y’all!
