I’m sitting at an outdoor restaurant in the Old Town enjoying fish soup and sauteed prawns while writing this week’s email. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to travel and share ideas and tips with all of you. Be inspired, and get out there and SEE THE WORLD! Check out this week’s YouTube video, and enjoy the crazy Monaco trivia as well as additional info about my favorite stop on our road trip through Provence in Tourettes Sur Loup.

Crazy Monaco Facts!
The Principality of Monaco is the 2nd smallest country in the world by kilometers after The Vatican. It’s only 2 square kilometers. That’s crazy! You can walk across the entire country in about an hour. People confuse Monaco and Monte Carlo, but they are basically the same thing (said I). Monaco is the country, and Monte Carlo is the city. If you are headed to Monte Carlo, I highly recommend staying at the Marriott in Cap D’Ail (which is actually just over the French border). It was a gorgeous hotel, well situated and the service was impeccable.
- Random Fact: Monaco has the largest Police Force in the world per capita.
- Random Fact: The Oceanographic Museum formerly run by Jacques Cousteau is one of the best in the world.
- Random Fact: Monaco has the most millionaires and billionaires per capita in the world. Obvi 🙂
- Random Fact: Monaco has the most expensive real estate in the world. You can pay over $1m USD for a parking spot in Monaco.
- Random Fact: Monaco has the same flag as Indonesia, just a different size.
- Random Fact: Locals of Monaco are not allowed to go to the famous Casino. What???!!!
Tourettes Sur Loup
Tourettes-Sur-Loup is the medieval town of the Violets and the most charming town! Love love love this town. St. Paul de Vence is a very popular day trip from Nice, but make sure to go the extra 8km to see Tourettes Sur Loup. This is everything St. Paul de Vence should be with the shops, the views, the instagrammable streets and alley ways, but without all the people. It was my favorite stop on our road trip through Provence. I had violet jam, violet ice cream and bought a hand made coffee mug painted with violets….of course. If you get a chance to visit, consider spending the night at Auberge de Tourettes, relax and enjoy the view.
