I'm in Malaga, Spain

Hi all!  I’m so excited to announce that The Delights of San Miguel is almost sold out.  I have only 2 spots remaining, so make sure to book now if you want to join me.  Thank you to those that are already signed up; you’re going to have an amazing trip!!!!  Remember to use SMA2021 for $200 off your booking.   Book here. Come and join me!

This past week, I’ve been in Malaga, Spain, on the Costa del Sol, and I am in love with the city!  I always enjoy coming to Spain, but the food, culture and people in Malaga really fit my personal lifestyle.  I’ve walked more than 15,000 steps a day, soaked up the delicious sunshine every day (over 300 days of sun every year), and I’ve had the most delicious seafood.  From shrimp to anchovies to sardines, as well as yummy Spanish wine I feel like I’ve died and gone to food heaven.   One of the coolest things I did in Malaga was take a private Flamenco class with Sonia Marin.  It was such an incredible experience, and it’s such a difficult dance….I was terrible at it, but I had a great time!  If you want to learn Flamenco, you can actually book online courses or virtual Flamenco classes with Sonia on her website called Flamencoson.   Here’s her instagram.  Tell her I sent you 🙂

I’m now in Marbella, taking it easy for a couple days.  I’ve worn myself out already, so I need a day or two of lounging in the sun.

My new favorite travel app is called GuruWalk.com.  It’s a great way to find free walking tours in most cities that you might visit; I’ve already booked through this app 4 times since arriving in Spain.  I find the free tours are as good as the paid tours, and of course, since they are free, I tip the guide generously at the end of each tour.  My recommendation is that you read the description/bio of the guide to find someone who is local, and not someone who has ‘moved’ to the city.  This app will save you so much time and money; hope you love it as much as I do.  Happy Touring!

Bastrop, Texas

I still love adventures, even when I’m home in Austin.  This week’s video is all about my day to Bastrop, Texas.  Who knew this little town had so much to offer!  Please let me know if you have any suggestions for day trips from Austin.

The Abundant Traveler would love your support!

I am building The Abundant Traveler to provide insight, inspiration and valuable travel tips, and I want to continue to provide all of this content free to you and your friends.  I’d be so appreciative if you would consider supporting the brand by shopping on Amazon through my Amazon Shop, Booking hotels through my Resources Page or becoming a patron through Patreon.  My Amazon Shop and Resources Page contain affiliate links where The Abundant Traveler would receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.  Patreon is a bit different; Patreon is a monthly paid sponsorship where you will receive exclusive content as well as invitations to events and meetups.

I am so grateful for your support of The Abundant Traveler!!!!
