Priorities & Reality
This week, I’m sad to say that I canceled a ski trip to Vail. It just didn’t feel right to be leaving Austin right now, as my real estate business has been gratefully busy. Instead of wooshing down the mountain, I have been super productive kicking off my New Year’s goals, and enjoying some extra time around Austin. You may think that I travel ALL THE TIME, but I actually travel less than someone with a 9-5 job, every weekend off and a 2 week vacation… Do you realize that lifestyle is 114 days off a year, and I travel a lot less than that. On that note, let’s get into this week’s travel topics!
Hotel San Cristobal
I spent New Year’s in Cabo San Lucas, and a friend recommended that I visit this out of the way hotel called The San Cristobal. Their tag line is ‘all good things are found at the end of a dirt road’, and you’d better believe it. This hotel is an eclectic, super cool property, and it’s located about an hour and a half from Cabo San Lucas and 15 minutes from Todos Santos. The hotel is about a mile through the desert, down a wandering dirt road; them BAM, you hit this stunning oasis of a hotel right on the raging Pacific Ocean. It’s a whitewashed mirage of perfection with a hip, cool Mexican vibe, delicious smells coming from the kitchens and sweeping views of untouched beaches. The incredible service oriented staff and laid-back Mexican architecture and design are impeccable. I promise, you will never want to leave this place. Through the center of the property is a gorgeous loungy pool with inviting chaises, and there’s open plush bench seating for cocktails and snacks at the bar. If you can’t stay there, make sure to stop for a drink and snack or make dinner reservations because this hotel is a can’t miss while in Cabo. Note: This hotel is part of the Bunkhouse Group, ie. the Santa Cecelia and San Jose in Austin. Check out this link to book your stay at the San Cristobal.
New Pinterest Page
I’m thrilled to announce my new Pinterest business page. My good friend and fellow travel blogger Mandy at Plan To Explore is helping me curate a well designed and thoughtful page full of inspirational boards for all your travels. Make sure to check out the page, save and share the pins and let me know what you think of the page.
Island Hopping In Croatia
I shared my experience on The San Antonio with you a few weeks ago, but this week’s video showcases the islands that we visited. This trip was super simple to plan, I simply flew into Split, and jumped on a yacht for a week; everything was planned and organized for us! Check out this link to book your Croatian Yacht for 2020.
