October in Austin

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been recovering from jet lag after spending several weeks in Europe, and it feels so good to be home in Austin especially this time of year.  October is one of the best times to visit Austin from ACL, to Formula 1 and Halloween.  This time of year, the weather begins to change, and everyone starts spending more time outside.  I think the best months to visit Austin are April and October.  This past weekend was one of my favorite Austin events, Formula 1.  I’ve been a F1 fan since I lived in Europe, and the roar of the engines always gives me goosebumps….One of my big bucket list items is to drive ‘hot laps’ on COTA (Circuit of Americas Track – our F1 track).  Vroom Vroom!

I’ve been working on The Delights of San Miguel trip which is November 11-15, and I cannot wait to share this amazing city with the ladies on the trip!  From walking tours to shopping, private classes and exquisite meals, this trip has it all.  I think I’m more excited than the ladies are 🙂

USA Immigrations and entry changes

A week ago, the USA announced that all foreigners entering the USA will have to have proof of the vaccine starting on November 8th.  As of right now, this doesn’t apply to US citizens, but I do think our government will change the rules for US citizens very soon.  Currently, US citizens have to have a 72hr negative COVID test to return to the USA, but the vaccine isn’t required.  Please plan ahead and watch the travel news daily if you are planning an international trip.  (PS. I  laughed at this photo…why do immigration employees always look so mean?!  Hehehe 🙂

Passport Renewals

This is a heads up for everyone that needs to get their passport renewed.  There are so many delays happening right now between employment issues, supply chain and manufacturing, and getting your passport renewed is no exception to these current delays.  The latest information is saying that It will take 18-24 weeks to get a new passport right now.  So, if you are planning on traveling internationally in the next year, please double check that you have at least 6 months remaining on your passport from the time you have planned your travel.   If you don’t have 6 months, please make sure to give yourself enough time to get a new passport.

Below is a great article with recent updates and tips.
